Advisory for Visa Seekers Travelling to India
There have been instances of fraudulent websites and agents claiming to provide visa to foreigners who want to travel to India. Applicants are cautioned against such fake websites and agents. Neither the Government of India nor the Embassy of India, N'Djamena has authorized any company, agency or entity to facilitate visa service. All such fake websites and dubious agents may dupe the applicants and may also misuse their personal data.
Visa applicants are advised to directly visit the Embassy's official website:
It may also be noted that visa involves an online application for which no facilitation is required by any intermediary/agent etc.
In case of doubt or if any clarification is required, visa applicants may write to this Embassy at (ambassador[at]indianembassylibya[dot]in) or contact the Visa Helpdesk personally at the Embassy of India, Libya during working hours.
Passengers travelling to India should clearly indicate in their application forms the purpose of the visit and the category of visa required by them. Applicants will be solely responsible for the inconsistency or discrepancy, if any, in their application form. Passengers travelling to India for Medical Treatment should apply for a Medical Visa and specifically indicate the destination to avoid any inconvenience after reaching India.
